Back in the local news, THC Rx is still working on construction, and city officials are optimistic that medical marijuana will be a big boon to the city. With two other dispensaries in town, there is intense pressure to be the first one to market. Stay tuned for more updates.
THC Rx News Update 11/21/19:
The Arkansas Times released a news article today stating that "all the dirt work has been done on the site of the dispensary at 3700 I-40 Frontage Road East in West Memphis, and the building’s metal structure has been ordered .....the dispensary should be able to open in about three months."
THC Rx News Update 10/17/19:
Like the other three dispensaries in this zone, this dispensary is not open yet. This region is the slowest in the state to get their medical marijuana operations going. There was an article released today on Yahoo News stated "Body and Mind Inc., a multi-state operator, is pleased to update shareholders on the construction of its fully funded medical marijuana dispensary in West Memphis, Arkansas......Substantial construction progress has also been made, with interior framing 90% complete in the dispensary and cultivation areas. Work is in-progress on roughing in chase ways for power upgrades while electrical rough in remains ongoing throughout the project. Additionally, HVAC ductwork is 90% complete in the dispensary area."
